Melancholy

So, I haven’t written anything new for a month and work has been crazy busy the past couple weeks…

Well, imagine my surprise when the idea for this vignette hit me while I was out walking my dog this morning. Man, did it feel great to write! Of course, now I’m behind on some work I need to get done for tomorrow, but that’s okay because I got my thoughts down on paper and I feel better. ūüôā

This vignette is about Unruhe and explores what Mulder might have felt after Scully’s ordeal with Gerald Schnauz. She was obviously very shaken up by what happened with him, but I thought it would be interesting to delve into what Mulder might have been feeling afterwards.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I do appreciate it.

After the Woods

I have a huge X-Files songs and scenes playlist¬†for all nine seasons and the movies on my iTunes, and¬†I haven’t played through the whole list for years.¬†However, with the show coming back soon, I decided to¬†listen to it and am currently on songs from season¬†seven. Well, when I heard Moby’s “My Weakness”, I¬†couldn’t stop thinking about the emotional reunion¬†scene with Mulder and Samantha at the end of Closure.¬†That led to me re-watching that scene and the scene¬†with Mulder reading from Samantha’s diary to Scully¬†in the diner, which in turn led to this story.:) I¬†know a lot of people didn’t care for that resolution¬†to Mulder’s search for his sister and didn’t think it¬†made sense, but for me, David and Gillian’s acting¬†was so amazing in this episode that emotionally it¬†worked for me.

Awakening

As I watched season seven, I felt that there was a definite shift in Mulder and Scully’s relationship, especially after Mulder got the “Closure” he needed with Samantha and Scully got the closure she needed in “all things.” Awakening is a romantic little introspective piece written from Scully’s point of view as she ponders her newfound intimacy with Mulder.:) Enjoy…

First Meeting

I don’t know about you, but I sure am¬†getting excited about seeing the characters ¬†I love in some brand new episodes. I haven’t¬†watched any episodes in quite some time, but¬†I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to¬†take a trip back to the office where it all¬†began. I actually wrote Scully’s opinion of Mulder a long time ago, and then I decided to add Mulder’s assessment of her today.:)

Back in the Fold

When I read the news that Mitch Pileggi would be a part of the reboot as AD Skinner, I was thrilled. Although his unwillingness to step over “the line that Mulder kept crossing” bugged me in the early seasons, Skinner became a true supporter and friend of both Mulder and Scully and helped them out time and time again. I actually have no idea how Mulder and Scully will be reintroduced to the audience when the show is back again. Will they be back at the FBI on the X-Files, or will they work in some other department? Or who knows? Maybe they won’t be involved with the FBI at all, That being said, I had fun coming up with this little scenario for Skinner, and whatever the writers ultimately decide to do with them, I’m sure it will be quite intriguing.:)

How do you think Mulder and Scully will be brought “back into the fold”? I’d love to hear your ideas…

Ready

I’m still riding the high of hearing the news about The X-Files coming back, and I still can’t get David’s Twitter quote about suits¬†out of my mind so you know what that means…I wrote a story about it! <g>

“It’s been 13 years, hope my suits still fit.”

I have no idea how or even if Mulder and Scully are going to be put back in charge of the X-Files in the reboot, but I’d like to think that Skinner would ask them to come back for some reason or another, and this is my take on a little what-if scenario if that is indeed the case. Enjoy!

Sixth Sense

When I was watching Fight the Future yesterday, I noticed for the first time that there was actually a man wearing a plaid shirt in the hallway as the “paramedics” were taking Scully away on a stretcher. I can’t believe that out of all the times I’ve watched that hallway scene over the years I never noticed it until now, but of course, once I did, I just had to write a little something from his point of view.
